Hi,
Your Windows client is obviously late. Features are missing, even basic stuff like multi-task drag and drop, or shortcuts.
This has been the case for a long time.
You really should consider open-sourcing your code.
Here are some advantages:
- Lot of us are devs and could help filling the gap
- You could stay in control, checking pull request, or let people do some "community edition"
- Lot of new ideas comes from open sourcing clients. This is a major business driver for some big names. Netflix succeded thanks to open api, client code is not the key point. But having an heavily under featured client is a pain, and a business breaker.
- You do not "disclose" anything: first the real value of doit is in the GTD vision and the sync part. Secondly, .Net could easily be viewed (with dotPeek...), so basically, sources are already disclosed
- If the experiment fails, you could go closed source again, you only need to warn people it's an experiment from the beginning
Please, please, let us help you.
Regards,
Romain
