Nagz,
I am not sure if I understood your situation correctly, but it sounds as if maybe your original task ("check on user feedback") is in fact a Waiting For action ("receive user feedback") that you could or perhaps should keep on the Waiting list.
The way I deal with these is I check my Waiting list at least every morning, usually a few times a day, routinely, to see if there is anything I need to do to hurry people up or check for their "delivery" in some special place. I use priorities for my Waiting For tasks. The ones that I really need to have "delivered" to me really soon are red etc. This makes it easier and quicker to examine my Waiting list frequently.
I have been using this todo manager for quite a while now and it is by far my favorite. I have one recurring process in my workflow that takes longer than it should.
Imagine I have a task with project,context and date that says 'check on user feedback from mail x'. Let's say I did that and decided that I need to follow up on this feedback, but that I want to do this some other time.
Basically what I would like to have is a simple way to send this task to my inbox. Also project and context should be stripped in my opinion.
With the current state of the applications the biggest hassle is in the Android version. To make this happen I have to remove the project manually. If I don't do this the 'Inbox' option is not available in the start date options list.
Optimal would be to have the Inbox option displayed at all times and when clicking it the task will be set to Inbox / no context / no project automatically. The same thing should happen if you drag and drop any task to the Inbox in your web or desktop applications.
I would really love this feature. It is a small thing, but it would take quite a chunk of time out of a regular process.
Greetings,
Ole

No, the way I meant my task is to be something like 'I need to do X now and X will have resulting actions that I need to think about later so I would like to move X back to my inbox.' Basically I just feel that moving an existing task back to the inbox takes too long (especially on Android).
If I'm on a computer I will usually just add the new resulting tasks rightaway. But I don't want to type out the new actions on my phone. -

@Nagz
Hi,
Do you point to add new subtasks under the task? Could you please describe it in detail? What actions will it result?
Best regards,

Subtasks under that tasks could be one avenue. Tasks under a project could be another. Both of these approaches would correspond to how David Allen describes GTD "projects" and "actions".
In GTD anything that requires more than one step is called a project. It is essential to have at least one action identified for each project. Identifying such additional actions is done during what GTD calls "review" (which is a forward-looking list review, not a historical performance review). Although putting the first and only action in the inbox is possible, it would not be the GTD way of addressing this situation. Instead, you need to monitor your projects and make sure that each project has ALL the now relevant actions listed as Next, Waiting (and/or Scheduled). A thorough weekly review is recommended, as well as a daily quick review (daily scan).
@wendy_only: Here is a suggestion: It would perhaps be helpful if it could be shown in the left menu that a project has no more Next+Waiting actions listed. For example, the "number of tasks" indicator could be shown for those projects, perhaps as a red zero, if there are no Next or Waiting actions listed in the project. -

@Folke
Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. We have recorded it down and we will do a research on this issue.

All this crazy stuff about workflows. I'M quite happy with mine. All I want is to speed up the process of moving items to the inbox. Should not be much coding.
- Dragging an item to the inbox in the webapplication to inbox -> strip context / project
- Enable start date change in mobile apps -> strip context / project -
