I agree, text inside the parentheses is useless even if it wasn't truncated so we could read the whole sentence. But we can't.
It may be a good idea to change the wording in first part of text, something like 'Touch to quickly add a new task' or 'Touch to create a new task'. This is more to the point and explains the purpose of smart add. It is superfluous to tell the user 'Click here to enter Smart Add' -- s/he doesn't care for feature's name, but what the feature does, and it adds a new task.
