Smart add recognizes weekday wrong

Platform:androidVersion:3.9.12

My Android version does not allow me to update any higher than 3.9.12.

If I go to smart add and type 'Test this on wednesday' it will be added to scheduled (next wednesday). I consider this a bug and think that date recognition should only happen if you use the appropriate prefix '^'. It should be added to inbox instead.

Do you mean that it will be one day later for all weekday? We will check this issue.

Do you mean that you do not want it to be recognized if you do not use '^'?

If I write 'do x on wednesday' without '^' it says 'added to scheduled' which I consider wrong. I want to be able to use weekdays like any other words while adding to the inbox.
I do think the feature of adding to scheduled is awesome, when you use the '^' sign. But if you don't use any of the special characters the text you enter should be added to the inbox as is.

I hope this is in line with your idea of how the smart add bar should work.

Did I understand you correctly? It is a feature that the webapp has ^weekday recognition only and no plain-text-weekday recognition, but the Android app has both?

Maybe a practical example helps. Let's say I type the following into my smart bar:
'I shoud listen to the song Another Saturday Night by Cat Stevens'

Is that an inbox item or a scheduled for Saturday one?

Hi,

If you add it on android app, it is a scheduled item for Saturday. If you add it on web version, it is an inbox task.

Right, but is it considered a bug or a feature? If your company's goal is not to have different clients behave the same that would be a serious shortcoming of the software.
I realize this is not your fault, but does your boss know and share this idea? It would be really stupid.

Absolutely. Take my example again:
'I shoud listen to the song Another Saturday Night by Cat Stevens'

I strongly feel that this should land in the inbox.
