@michagre
Hi,
Do you mean that the task under the project does not come to Today when it is on due? Does the project is inactivate? Could you see the due task in Today on web version?
Could you please tell me the task name and the project name by private comment? We will check this issue.
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
Using this for work, dividing tasks into Projects is very helpful with the way I work. With normal tasks not associated with projects, if they are due today they pop into the 'Today' focus so they have good visibility to address if they are due.
However, I've noticed with tasks assigned to projects, they just stay in "Next". So when it comes time to work out what to do I'm having to manually scan through Next/Projects and then manually move them to Today.
I don't know if this is a bug or working like that on purpose but just finding this behaviour a bit strange at the moment.
Thank you for any assistance in advance.
FYI - I tested this on both the Windows tool and in the Web and found the same behaviour there.
Thank you.
/Mick

Thank you for your prompt response. I wasn't familiar with this concept of active/inactive Projects so maybe it is something I am doing wrong. I just reviewed: http://enblog.doit.im/post/17635532593/doit-im-for-web-update-notes
The behaviour between the Windows client and Web seems to be the same.
The project name is "Accounts", there is only a couple of tasks under it.
If I right-click it gives me the option to "Inactive..." does this mean it is already Active? I couldn't seem to find any option to set a "Start Date" -> or by this do you mean Scheduled time?
Thank you for your help. -

Actually, I have 2 other Tasks under "Next" which were due today, with no project assigned, which did not get moved to "Today".
Is this an issue? As my expectation from what I've read is tasks due on today's date should automatically move to "Today" folder at midnight on day they are due?
Any help appreciated, let me know if further information is needed, thanks. -

@michagre
Hi,
Do you refresh your webpage to have a check? After checking, we do not find any due tasks left in Next box.
Could you please make a screenshot of the Next box which showing the due tasks in list and send it to us by private comments?

Will do. You took a few days to respond so those tasks had been completed now.
I've created a test task under a project and set the due date to tomorrow. It defaults to Next. I will check it tomorrow then take a screenshot and send to you, it will probably show that it does not move to "Today" but stays in "Next". Anyway, once the midnight passes I will collect more information and post back here, thank you. -

Hi,
Sorry for this issue. If the task is due today, it should go to Today from Next automatically.
For windows version, please try to close it and restart it to have a check.
Could you please tell me where did you create this tasks which have problems?
Best regards,

@wendy_only Thank you for your reply. I have been purely using the Windows client, so all the tasks were created in there - I just used the webapp to compare with when troubleshooting this issue.
If there is any test I can do or any further information I can provide which may help, please let me know. Thank you.

Thank you.
I have installed the 4.1.42 update you provided.
I have created 4 test tasks, all due tomorrow, all are currently sitting in Next folder:
Test Task Web Project - Created in web interface, due tomorrow, assigned to #Accounts project
Test Task Web No Project - Created in web interface, due tomorrow, not assigned to any project
Test Task WinApp Project - Created in windows client, due tomorrow, assigned to #Accounts project
Test Task WinApp No Project - Created in windows client, due tomorrow, not assigned to any project.
After midnight ticks over will update you with the observations tomorrow, thank you. -

Thank you for your support. -

@wendy_only Okay so I can share the observations, this looks like a bug in the windows client version if my understanding of the expected behaviour is correct.
- Web version: All 4 test tasks due today (regardless of where they were created) are showing correctly in "Today".
- Windows client version: All 4 test tasks due today (regardless of where they were created) are ~incorrectly~ not showing in "Today" and still showing in default "Next". Since these tasks are due today they should have been automatically moved from Next to Today at midnight.
I've also provided screenshots on the observations. I'm sure you could probably recreate this on your end as well. Also, I haven't deleted the tasks yet in case you wanted to check anything on the back end.
Please let me know if you need further information, thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for your information. Our windows developer will check this issue. Do you mean that the tasks still stay in Next after you complete syncing on windows version?
Best regards,

01/22/2015 03:34#17PRO
@wendy_only If I do a sync in Windows client it doesn't make any difference. I just tried it now, and the observations are the same as provided in the screenshots above. So web is showing as expected but still incorrect in the windows client (even after syncing).
Thanks, will wait for further feedback and I won't delete those tests tasks for now in case you want to check anything on back end. Thank you. -

@wendy_only Do you still need the test tasks I created in my account? Or is it okay if I delete them to clean things up for now? Thank you.

@wendy_only Cool, thank you.

@wendy_only I've discovered the following work-around in case anyone else is facing this issue:
- At the start of the day, open up doit in the Web, and sync.
- Then open up the Windows client, and sync.
Opening the web client first seems to correctly trigger the correct tasks to move to "Today", then the Windows client will just sync from that. If Windows client is open first then it gets messed up and there is a descrepency between the two as shown previously.
Thought this might help in case anyone else facing this.
Any update from the windows developer on this or if this will be fixed in a future update, any ETA on that? Thank you. -

@wendy_only Hi Wendy, thank you kindly for your assistance. A few days back I installed the beta and yesterday created a bunch of test tasks due tomorrow (as in today) to test the fix. Today I see the tasks have correctly moved from Next to Today because they are due today.
Thanks again for your help here!
