Hi,
It has been in our developing plan to add Group by goals.
Could you please tell me examples that you need the feature include projects and tasks to multiple Goals?
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
Project or task can help to achieve several goals, not just one.

Being able to group by goal will be very useful. (And being able to filter by goal and being able to see all tasks and projects in a goal).
As for your question about when a project could belong to several goals, I think this is quite analogous to the case where a task can belong to more than one project, or a subtask can belong to more than one task. I does indeed happen. For example, "Buy screwdriver" can be a necessary part of both "Build veranda" and "Repair bicycle". Same screwdriver; same purchase. It would be a nice feature to be able to have the item visible under each parent.
For me personally, I think the most useful case of such "multi-parenting" would be to be able to set up "batch tasks" ("agendas") where, for example, you could link a number of errand tasks from many different projects and see these represented as a single task with subtasks that you can put on your Today list as a single item, e.g. "Visit shopping mall X" or "Meet accountant". -

I used to:
The goal of the Week
The goal of the Month
The goal of the Year
Of course they have common tasks and projects -

Hi,
Any outcome that's going to require more than one item, in some sequence of tasks and projects in order to be able to achieve that outcome, that's a goal in Doit.im.
You'd better wright down the specific goal. What's your goal for this every week?
Best regards,

Although it is possible to have goals such as "goal of the week", it is perhaps interesting to note that GTD (David Allen) does not use such goals.
In GTD a goal is a major objective a couple of years ahead (or more), such as "get an education". In terms of "GTD altitude levels" goals are at level 30k (or 40k), whereas individual areas of responsibility are at just 20k, projects are at level 10k and actions at 0. -

David Allen GTD - convenient approach, but not the Bible :) -

You'd better wright down the specific goal. What's your goal for this every week?
- Ок will show more detailed example
Goal: The first week of March
+ Finish work project *****.com
+ Organize a wedding of friends
+ end etc.
Goal: The second week of March
+ Finish work project *****.com.ua
+ obtain a certificate google analytics
+ end etc.
Goal: The third week of March
+ Customize personal accounting
+ end etc
Goal: The fourth week of March
+ Select and configure the system for time tracking
+ end etc
Goal: Goal of March
+ Finish work project *****.com
+ Organize a wedding of friends
+ obtain a certificate google analytics
+ Select and configure the system for time tracking
+ end etc
Goal: Goal of 2015
+ Finish work project *****.com
+ end etc
P.S. Now I can not use the goals of this example in doit -

Those kinds of goals never worked for me. I have been tempted many times, and have tried many times, but never had any benefit from them.
I wonder, would it be helpful to be able to priority code projects in red, blue, turquoise instead (just like tasks)?
About the GTD Bible etc, I agree. I only follow my own convictions, nobody else's. But I have noticed that David Allen and I often seem to share the same attitude and preferences. Since he has a "bigger" name than I do I often blame him ;-)
On a more serious note, I think it would be a mistake for Doit not to cater for GTD all the way. They could also cater for other established methodologies, of course, but it is important to be consistent. -

Hi,
I thought that Folk has answer your question. You'd better name your goal like this"+ Finish work project *****.com". Now your goal is not a detailed one which is named according to the time.

@wendy_only
It is a pity that you are supporting only the GTD technique. And completely ignore Agil. Although both techniques complement each other/
Agile methods need to set themselves binding targets for the day, week, month, year.
At the same goals for the week and the month (day, month, month and year) may have common actions and projects (which I demonstrated on the example of my post # 7) -

Hi,
"Doit.im is the smartest way to manage your tasks with the implementation of Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. " We will do a research on Agil if we could make Doit.im better .

"We will do a research on Agil if we could make Doit.im better"
- This is great.
It was even better if it would make the service more flexible with help features:
+ multiple contexts
+ multiple goals
+ Powerful smart filters like Todoist. Supports all features: todoist.com/Help/Filtering
+ Add to Favourites Smart Filters in Focus list
+ Manually sorting task on Today and Tomorrow
+ Subproject
These features would allow the use of any methodology and would not interfere with use of classical GTD
