Hi,
Any outcome that's going to require more than one item, in some sequence of tasks and projects in order to be able to achieve that outcome, that's a goal in Doit.im.
Could you please tell me how you use the goal to manage your projects and tasks?
Best regards,
Doit.im Team

It would be useful for purposes such as -
The Goal of the week The Goal of the Month, The Goal of the Year

@Ev_Onegin
Hi,
Would you like the deadline will affect the time of the projects and tasks under the goal if we add deadline to goal?

Careful, here.
I does not matter much to me personally, because I almost never use deadlines (not the artificial non-GTD planning deadlines that are so common). Only a very small fraction of my stuff has deadlines, and then it is only "real" deadlines, such as contractual deadlines etc.
I'd be very wary about making this kind of arbitrary date planning too automatic. It is highly arbitrary to begin with, and by spreading it automatically I suppose it could quickly run totally out of control. What if I did have some true (non-arbitrary) deadlines for some of the tasks and projects within the goal - would they be "destroyed"; changed to some random (artificial) deadline imposed from the goal??
I think it is important to remember that a deadline is just a deadline - a last possible day. Nothing prevents us from doing things sooner. It is often better to do it early, especially if it is something important and if you cannot afford to take any chances.
The main purpose of the deadline feature is as a last-chance catch for low priority stuff, stuff that I might ignore if I do not have time. I suppose for a goal you will not need that. You will be acutely aware of it even without any dates.
