No way to set area of interrest or tag a project

It is not possible to have a project be given either a tag, area of interrest, or any other type of assignment. This means that the user is left with the tedious choice of setting tags to each individual task him/herself, give projects a name to distinguish themselves, or just have all projects in a big heap. This is not a good solution, I would call it a bug for a system said to be a GTD system.

The best solution would probably be to have a proper Area of interrest assignment, but tags would be a decent solution also.

+ 1 for inheritable tags. Useful for many things.

(For Areas you can also use the Goal feature if/when the developers implement at least some basic additional functionality around it.)

We have no plan that relates to tag a project, area of interrest, or any other type of assignment. And in the future, we may consider it.

We recommend that you use the Goal feature to manage the project.

The Goal feature is basically useless, since it is not shown whenever you create a new task/project and cannot be linked without drag-and-drop onto a goal. What you cannot easily set/unset in the details screen and review screens is not a good solution.

I think it is very wise of you to be considering and improvement of the Goal feature. It is almost useless now, but could be the answer to many desires that users have expressed.

Here is a summary of the most simple and necessary enhancements:

1. Be able to group lists by Goal
2. Be able to filter by Goal (both in the saved filters and in the "quick" filter)
3. Have a Goal overview, which shows not only all projects under that Goal but also all the tasks in all these projects, probably best grouped by "Box" (just like in the Project view).

And, what many users want (extremely popular feature in other apps, but I do not need it myself)
4. Have a "freeze" mechanism (a "sticky filter") for the Goal selection, such that if Work is one of your "Goals" you can limit the whole app to showing just Work related projects and tasks while at work, and vice versa when you are off.
