I used Astrid before I stared with Doit.im. One of the most important things with my tasks application is that it has to remind me of tasks. That was very easy with astrid. Set a deadline, and I would recieve a reminder when it started. If it was a full day event (I hadn't specified a specific time) I could in my settings set when I wanted my reminder (10:00 seemed right).
Whit doit.im, both on the web and on the android app, I first have to put it in the "next" folder. Then, as I see it, I have two choices. The first one is the first turn off the "full time event" button. Then I have to select a time and add a reminder.
The second choice is to first set a date, and then add a reminder. And I have to give a new date time to the reminder.
This may seem like a small issue, but it really is a big difference for me between using 5 seconds to set date, time and a reminder and using 30 seconds.
I always want to be reminded of the tasks I have the current day.
We are trying to make a better design of the app, and will consider improving the interaction of reminders settings.
