A great feature would be a shortcut for deadline in the quick add boxes. I often am setting deadlines for tasks that have a start time of "Next". But while quick adding, I can do everything except add a deadline. Therefore, I need to finish entering the task, then open it again to add a deadline. Perhaps you could use "~" or "*".

e.g.

"Pay bills @Errands &Personal ^Next ~07-01"

I agree with @baker121's suggestion. This would be extremely valuable to me - it really slows me down to have to go into the edit screen to add a deadline.

Do you think it would be OK to automatically set Deadline as 1 hour later than the Start time, as it is in an event in Calendar?

@Kassy I would think that in the quick add there is usually not a start time defined, so the date has more importance than the time. Whatever the default time deadline is for when a task is added without a due time but with a due date should be OK. What do you think?
