now, after click, you get a pop up with many fields - this is not as convenient as simple line with the syntax (@^#, etc)

Do you mean that you want it be able to use the syntax in the task editing page? In the task title place?

many times, I don't need the full pop up - I just want to set time / context / etc - and it would much easier to use keyboard (syntax ^/@/etc) than click fields on popup

Hi,

You could add tasks with syntax ^/@/etc. Do you mean that you want it to be available in editing a task?
