Yes, I agree that there is room for improvement. But what you can do (in the web version) is multi-select the tasks (ctrl-cklick or shift-click, just like in Windows) and drag the selected tasks all at once onto the Next link in the left pane.
I have a couple of additional suggestions along the same lines:
- be able to view and edit the task settings and the list of subtasks all in the same view/edit screen
- be able to set a personal default for having all inbox items land straight on the Today page (at the top or bottom), in other words skip the inbox. This would be useful for those of us who prefer to put things in the right place asap and who do not receive much via the Doit email and want to be sure we notice the few things that do arrive asap.
fast/group edit tasks
a series of actions I do often is going through my inbox and mark a lot of tasks as "next": what it takes:
clic on the task : go to an allmost empty task window
clic on a small edit button : go to the edit task popup
clic on inbox
clic on next in the drop down list
clic on save
if i have 10 tasks in my inbox, this is 50 repetitive clics
note that i dont mark them as next at creation time because on android platform, in the quick add widget, "next" is not in the list of the schedules. (^ shortcut)
suggestions:
edit fields just after clicking on a tast in the list, no intermediate window
group edit from the list (ex: select 5 tasks, mark all as next)
anything that speed up the process of dispatching tasks from the inbox

antoine
