@jiversen
Hi,
Do you mean that you want the text is inserted in the title?
You could insert 1024 characters in title and 10000 characters in description. What is your idea if the text is more than 1024 characters?
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
I use the Add to Doit.im service via launchbar to add new tasks.
Unfortunately the text that is entered in launchbar is inserted incorrectly in the description field of the quick-entry, not the title field, so it makes the process more tedious: I then have to use mouse to select then cut the description and paste it into the "new task' field before I can be able to save the new task.
Is there a different syntax to use?
Thanks for fixing it.

Hi,
Sorry not to see your reply until now, but thanks for the quick response!
Yes, I would like to create tasks quickly with minimal interruption to my workflow, all from the keyboard. Sometimes you just have a quick thought you'd like to jot down for later. For this usage, I'm not going to type a long description, just a quick title. 1024 characters are more than enough. When reviewing, I would go back to add the description later. This is like the portion of GTD where you just quickly list out all the things you need to do.
The ideal functionality would be
1) have the Doit.im service (on mac) insert the text into the TITLE
2) allow hitting the return key to activate the save button in the quick entry dialog. Right now it, oddly, just selects whatever text is in the title field. (This behavior could be restricted to only when the cursor is in the title field, to preserve the abiliy to add returns to the longer description.)
So then I can create a new task all by the keyboard, very quickly:
Type: Effect:
1) <command>-<space> [opens launchbar]
2) do [selects the Add to Doit.im service]
title of reminder, <return> [sends text to title field of quick-entry dialog]
<return> [creates the task, closes the quick-entry dialog]
You could also do it using the service:
select text, command-shift-E, return
Hope that is clearer.
Keep up the awesome project. It is very useful.

@jiversen Hi there, we support typing the text in the tile and hitting the return key to save the task. You can click the quick-add box (with a hint in it: Tap to add, return to continue) or press "Q" on the keyboard to open the quick-add box. As for the shortcut, we will work more on improving it. Thanks for your advice.
