Some people use contexts the way you do - what for GTD calls Areas, or Goals above that. Doit has another feature for that, called Goals, but is does not allow you to hide "home" goals while at work etc.
I agree this is something that needs to be tidied and enhanced.
What you can do in the meantime is prefix your project names with something suitable and have them appear in the right order when you list tasks by Project.
Cannot filter projects by context
Hi,
There seems to be no easy way, or no way at all to filter active projects by context. Ideally there should be buttons at the top of the screen, always-visible, so I can always filter everything, Projects, Tasks and Goals by a specific context.
While I am at work I only want to see my work projects, tasks and goals. So I can focus, I have all my home stuff lumped in with my work stuff and it's not easy to see what I am working on.
Thanks,
Nathan.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are considering improving Context feature of Project.

I have just stumbled about the same issue - number of active projects is growing and it would be handy to separate them to work/home/time off etc. groups. I am prefixing them with single letters ('o' for office, ...) and that works ok.
Thank you

Oh, another thing I found out recently is that you can change the order in which are the projects displayed. At least in the web client I am using. Click "projects" to display all projects and the just drag'n'drop them to desired order.
