Thank you for your feedback. We have already reported this feature. But we don't know about the roadmap yet.
Recently we are making an collaboration platform, all the engineers are tied up, so the new version may be a little bit late.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for using Doit.im
I've been reading in your forum complaints that you haven't implemented this. I've been reading them for years.
Do you ever plan to implement this?

According to the GTD, the next action, should be the very first concrete thing for a sequential project.
We agree with you in that point, and I think it should be implemented too.
Thank you for your feedback.

@boblieberman, actually you are a little bit off the mark concerning GTD, and, although I do not want to be picky, I feel I need to point it out in order to help prevent any inadequate new features from being implemented.
True, with GTD you need to have AT LEAST one next action identified, and, true, you are not supposed to have ANY subsequent (dependent; not yet possible) actions on your next actions list, BUT you are supposed to list EVERY now possible action for EVERY MOVING PART OF EVERY PROJECT (David Allen's expression). In other words, in a given project there could be one, or a few, or many, even all, actions listed as active, depending on the project. Every project is unique. If an action is possible to start now, it should be listed, not hidden. And vice versa.
In my own opinion, the easiest way to accommodate this need for flexibility in Doit would be to allow users to mark actions as "inactive" (just as we can with projects). This would hide them from the Next list (or from the Waiting list or any other list). As a second step of development, Doit might want to consider "automatic activation" of the first inactive action whenever a project has no active actions listed. -

Folke's comments notwithstanding I see you haven't implemented this feature either. Perhaps you could point out what, exactly, has been added or improved on the web app since 6/2016 when I first noticed the gaps in your product. I'm not seeing anything in the blog except a roadmap for 2017

Thank you very much for your concern @boblieberman !
1. As for the Next, you may choose to 'Show One' or 'Show All' on the phone version. What phone do you use? IF you use iPhone, please download the latest new version to try the feature. If you use Android, you may apply to join out beta test of the new version which is still being carried out.
2. As for the updates, we've explained before that in the year 2016 and even some time before it, we put most of our time in another product, aiming to bring more added value to our beloved Doit.im users, but unfortunately it was not that successful. And that's also the main reason why we delayed our development on Doit.im and even the customer service. We're really sorry about that. It's our fault to have made a wrong decision. It was hard for us. But it's OK, we're back now! Doit.im has always been our dream product, and Doit.im users always our most beloved friends. We'll put all our efforts to make the product better.
We've decided to make big improvements in 2017.
By now, we've released Doit.im V5 for iPhone version, and it's been updated almost each week now.
And Doit.im V5 for Android is in beta test phase. If you use Android, you may also apply to join the test to see the latest development progress. It’s been updated every other day now.
Also we have plans to improve our web version and desktop version just after the phone versions. Here is the general plan for the first half of 2017, as you said you have read it in our blog:

If you have any problems or suggestions, please just tell me any time. I would be glad to help you.
Thank you very much for your support!
Have a nice day!
