Can you add start dates on subtasks?
Can they appear on the start date views (like today, next, tomorrow, etc) depending on the start date set?
You may want the subtasks to appear a different font (itallc maybe, smaller font) when listed in order to identify it is a subtask.

Reason for the request:
In some cases, a project will have many tasks, and one or more of these tasks will have a few sub tasks that needs to be completed with different start dates when they can be worked on. And once all the subtasks have been completed, then the main task is do be worked on. It is not advisable to convert the main task (containin subtasks) into a project because it is just a task under a certain project. Else, it will become a breakaway project outside the original project and will lose the link to the original project.
