Sending from gmail created only 1 task.
However I use another account for work so this needs to work correctly also. -

Hello - I have a similar issue. I sent a task from my Gmail account (albeit via an SMTP server) and it has generated 4 entries in my doit inbox.

@ndbennett It related to network speed and the mailbox sever sometimes. Please deleted the repeated one in your inbox if it appears more than once.
