@ddittmar Thanks for sharing. ^_^
Just wanted to share the following...
"One-touch voice note" is an app I recently discovered through the GTD Connect material. It's a simple app but it works well if you need a means of converting voice notes to text and sending them to your Doit inbox. Just link your Doit email address to the app and away you go. The app does have some glitches but it allows for faster capturing than trying to type out notes on a mobile.
If anyone knows of any other voice to text apps that integrate well with Doit, please share.
Cheers.
ps - I have no affiliation with the app, just a GTD-er & Doit-er looking for ways to improve.

@ddittmar why wouldn't you just use Android or iOS's built-in speech-to-text when entering a task in the Doit.im app? Just hit the microphone button on the keyboard. I just tested on my iPhone and Galaxy Tablet and it worked great on both.

@colinmarshall
For some reason, the built-in speech-to-text doesn't work consistently on my iphone 6S. The mic option on the keyboard is often 'faded' or not selectable. I've looked into why this may be but couldn't find an answer online. Any suggestions? If this option were consistently available, I agree it would be easier, however, for now the app allows a work-around. -

@ddittmar That makes sense and is a good workaround. I almost never use speech-to-text but I think I'm going to start entering tasks with my voice like the way I suggested to you. I'll reply to this thread if I can reproduce the issue you are having.
