Hi,
Normally, all the archived tasks can be seen in Web version. You may search in Web version to find the task.
Meanwhile, archived tasks are not supposed to be seen in iPad version.
But since you said you could not delete them, our developers think the task may have already been deleted from the system. It may be just a bug in iPad.
Please log out and log in again in iPad to see if you still can find these tasks. If not, it means these tasks had been deleted.
Look forward to your reply after your try.
Have a nice day!

Hi,
We've been considering the problem these days, and finally found that you have too many tasks in your Next list, 2979 items uncompleted. And since iPad version hasn't been updated for long, it could not afford that many tasks. So when you log in, the system is loading these data, and that much data made it fail to load. My suggestion would be as follow:
1. Please organize your Next list in cloud, that is, in your web version https://i.doit.im/ so that you would be able to get these things done, or that too many things would be out of control. And after organizing and arranging things into other lists or completing them and archiving them, or deleting them, you may still log in to iPad version.
2. It is likely that we won't update the iPad version, because only very few users use iPad version while the development cost of iPad version is about four times as much as that of iPhone version. Could you please change to iPhone version, which has been going through a progressive updates?
You may tell us any ideas in your mind.
Thank you!
Good day!
