And there is another bug in the Mac version. After I added one subtask, I wanted to add another. The task viewing window does not expand, so that "Add a subtask" appears just below the bottom of the window. Therefore, there is nothing visible to double click to open the subtask entry window.
The only solution is to close the task and reopen it, which resizes the task window, and "Add a subtask" becomes visible again. If one has 10 subtasks to add, this is a major drag. Please fix this.
Adding a subtask / Plus icon
There is a design problem that should be addressed. In the Mac version, I was trying to add a subtask. The + button appeared to be grayed out. Sure enough, when I clicked the + button, nothing happened, leading me to believe something was wrong with the task itself. I wasted 15 minutes trying to figure out what could be wrong.
The solution was to double click on the *words* "Add a subtask" to the right of the + button, which then activates the ability to add a subtask. Using a decorative but not functional "+" icon in this way is nonintuitive design. Asking users to double click on plain text on a Mac is nonintuitive. I saw another use on the forum had the same problem (he believed subtasks were grayed out/forbidden). Clicking the + icon is what most users would expect to initiate an action.
Simple fix:
1. Make the + sign and text darker, so they don't appear to be grayed out.
2. Make the + sign responsive, so when a user clicks it, something happens (user sees the entry box).
3. Make the words "Add a subtask" responsive to a single click, not a double click.
I'm having trouble using DoIt to manage dozens of projects (thus, I thought subtasks help me out), and if I hadn't figured out this bug, I might have moved to some other product. I only figured out the solution by checking the iPad version, which clued me in to + button was *decorative* and not functional.
DoIt has a really nice interface, and adding a subtask should be intuitive, like the rest of the app.

Thank you very much for your delicate proposal!
We'll make improvement on the two points you mentioned:
1. Make both '+' and words are responsive, or the words responsive to a single click;
2. Show the inputting line of subtask. For this point, I've just tested to find that though the line of subtask currently being inputted may be covered, the words would show if you don't move the page and just input via keyboard.
The improvements will be made in the new version. It would not be that soon since we are planning to redesign the whole version of web, Mac and Windows now.
Thank you very much!
