When smartadding a task, one can capture it but also, very often, one can clarify it and organise it. The fields Label, Projection, DueDate, Tags etc are implemented in SmartAdd, which is great. However, SmartAdd lacks the Focus field (Next Action, WaitingFor, SomedayMaybe, Scheduled etc.) . Because of this lack of Focus field in SmartAdd, it is not possible to organize tasks upon création on Android devices.
I would subscribe tout doit.il gladly, but I will have tout jeep investigating alternatives (ticktick, remember the milk, todiist, toodledo, Nirvanabetc) to replace IQTell, which will close this month.

Hi,
Do you mean quick adding a task in Next Action, Waiting, Someday or Schedule box?
Of course you can, take Next Action as an example, go to the Next Action box, quick add a task, then this task would stay in Next Action. Or you can change the start time to Next Action when you quick add a task, then the task will go to Next Action box.

Is that what you mean? If I understand wrongly, please tell me!

I actually meant something else as I was talking about the "Smart Add" feature on --mobile phones-- (I created this post from within Android's Doit.im app and I didn't know it would land in a forum, so I didn't give more context, sorry) as described on that page: http://enblog.doit.im/post/70770625134/doitim-for-android-40-guide (the page contains a picture)

So, we can add task title, start time, project, context, priority and tag, but we can not make the task a 'Next Action', a 'Someday' etc, which is a pity, IMHO - or did I miss something?
Otherwise we could capture, clarify and organize at the same time, without friction, on mobile phones with Doit.im, which would be great.

Sorry, we are not going to cover everything on smart adding.
It's just a quick add, we only picked some frequently-used infor on smart adding.
Do you add tasks into NEXT box very often?
If you do, we may consider about adding it into this part.
But this feature is not in high priority, so it may not come soon !
