Sync and widget not working since last update to EMUI 5.0.1

Hi,
Since I updated my Huawei P9 Android 7.0 phone to EMUI 5.0.1, the widget won't show any taks and the + sign is not responding. Also, tasks are not synced automatically any more and manual sync keeps rolling.

Any ideas?
