Next Action (s) update

I remember last Sept 2013 this was a major discussion... all actions were showing up as next actions. So if a project had 10 things that needed to be done in order, they would all show up as next actions. I know in Sept there was a statement that this was being addressed... any update? 9 months later I still have same concern.

  Not done, not really. What they have done is introduced the manual sorting of the Next list plus the Show One - Show All options for the Next list. This is the solution they had in mind.
  
  Any proper solution, which allows you to vary this for the individual project, and which also handles delegated (Waiting for) actions, and which allows you to have a varying number of these active actions (not just either one or all) does not seem to have been the plan,
