About the only thing I *really* miss about Toodledo was its "repeat after completion" feature, which meat that while you might have a recurring item overdue, at least you didn't have *multiple* instances of that same item.

Because of the unique way that Doit has the today list, I'm thinking I might be able to do a workaround from that.

Here's what I am thinking of trying.

Let's say you have a recurring item of a chore, like "scrub the floor." Now some folks might not need to remember to do this to get it on your radar, but I do. I do better when I see everything I want to get done together, no matter how mundane.

If I set scrub floor as a recurring action, it needs a due date. I'll pick Monday. But maybe Monday wasn't good for me one week out of four.

So Tuesday hits and that Monday scrub floor is an "overdue item" But it's not truly overdue--it's just not done the day I normally would. So I get annoyed, possibly confuse it for a truly immediate need task, and it fouls up my system.

My thinking is instead of scheduling it as a recurring, leaving it as a "Next" most of the time. When I do my review, usually at 12am EST for me, I can throw it in today for the next morning.

When I am done scrubbing the floor, instead of clicking complete--I move it back to next, where it can sit until I feel I next need to scrub the floor.

This way, I'm not filled with tons of overdue tasks that aren't. I can manually reset the task's place, putting it on "today" whenever i want. It takes a few drag and drops but avoids creating the same thing over and over.

Has anyone tried this? Is there a better way?
