Hi,
I am sorry that I can not understand you well. Do you mean that if you delete the tasks in Doit.im which are synced from GCal, the evens in GCal will also be deleted? Do you mean that you just do not the events be deleted in GCal when the tasks in Doit.im are deleted?
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Doit.im Team

@jamesanson64
Hi,
Do you mean delete the tasks in Doit.im or mark them as completed?
You can set the completed tasks not to be deleted on GCal on web version in Preferences.

I think maybe this is exactly the same question I raised myself a while ago:

Apparently (unfortunately) this is the intended behavior and means the calendar sync feature cannot be used.
It is simply unacceptable to delete items on a regular (often shared) calendars just because I myself have checked them off as done or if I have trashed them in Doit if I will not attend that meeting. Those appointments must remain on the calendar as a journal and for the benefit of others who use the same shared calendar. -

I have just recently started using doit.im. While so far I am thrilled with this application, deleting items from my Gcalendars is just simply not acceptable. I ditto everything that @Folke stated in their comment. I have multiple Gcalendars, some of which are shared with others. I also have two different work calendars, and I don't want to lose the items that I have completed for work as it helps me at review time (as well as C.Y.A.).
Maybe instead of deleting items from gcalendars when they are checked off in doit.im, they could be turned grey in color to signify that they have been completed. Or, if possible, a strikethrough line or the word "completed" after the appt. I will no longer be able to sync my gcalendars until this issue is resolved. -

Hi,
Q: How can I make the completed tasks on Doit.im appear on Google Cal?
A: First, log in to Doit.im for Web. Second, go to Preferences - Account Info. On the page that comes up, uncheck the checkbox in front of the sentence, Delete the event that appears on Google Cal but has been marked as "Completed" in Doit.im.
See the pic: http://faq.doit.im/web.html#124
Thank you for your suggestion. We will do a research on this issue.
